HOMEWORK :

Create a recreation of a double-page spread from a magazine.

SPECS:

• Meaure a double-page spread from a real magazine.

• Set up your document using master text box, column, bleeds etc.

• Replace any boxes or ads with plain boxes.

• Try to simulate type treatments as closely as possible:
  pay attention to Serif fonts and Sans Serif fonts; color and size, weigth (bold, light, extended or condensed)

• Look at details such as "rules" (lines), special characters, "smart quotes" (refer to the 10 worst type sins in the resource section of this website.

• You MUST use Master Pages. (See Master Pages How-to here)

Skills to use with page layout:

• master pages---know where you are!
• page numbering
• headers and footers for inside double page spread

Skills to use with paragraph styling (refer to vocabulary list for terms and definitions.):

• First line indentation
• drop caps

Also:

• Tints and color with letters
• Bleeds
